Ep 90 - Tribute to Tommy Flame, COVID Update, and Texas SB8 Bill

We pay a final tribute to WJMS' own Tommy Flame, co-Host of the We Out Here show and OG host and friend of the station. We miss you Tommy!

Aside from the weekly Covid update, Steve is devoting this show to a discussion of the just passed Texas SB-8 bill which not only imposes severe restrictions on abortion rights in the Lone Star state, but empowers citizens to essentially be deputized to sue providers, as well as those individuals that assist a woman seeking an abortion particularly if it is beyond a so-called "fetal heartbeat" threshold of six weeks.

Steve will be looking at some of the impacts of this bill as well as what it portends for future legislation in Texas and other states on abortion and other constitutionally protected activities.
